Rebels End First Half of the Season 9-8

Nov 9th (Olive Branch, Miss.) After dropping two games to #4 University of Miami, the Ole Miss Rebels were ranked #12 in the South region. Last Friday, the Rebels hosted #6 University of Arkansas. Arkansas came out strong, but Ole Miss battled as well. After a scoreless first period, the Razorbacks netted the first goal of the game in the second period. In the third period, Sean Rogers scored for the Rebels with an assist from Lee Edelman. The score stayed tied at one for the first half of the third, until the Razorbacks took control and scored three goals to finish with a 4-1 victory.

Nov 10th (Pelham, Ala.) Last Saturday, the boys traveled to Pelham, Ala. to take on #7 Florida Gulf Coast University. Gulf Coast got on the board first with an early first period goal. FGCU added two more to take a 3-0 lead going into the second period. The Rebels rallied back in the second with goals from Cameron Cook and Cody Fullindwider to make the score 3-2. Florida Gulf Coast took control in the third to finish off the Rebels with a score of 9-4. Cook and Fullinwider both scored there second goal of the game for the Rebels. Ole Miss travels to Columbus, Ga. to take on Georgia Tech on Friday night and Florida State on Saturday evening. Be sure to follow your Rebels on twitter @OleMissHockey.

Nov 16th/17 (Columbus, Ga.) The Ole Miss Rebels traveled to Columbus, Ga. to take on Florida State and Georgia Tech in the annual Columbus Clash meeting. The Rebels faced the Seminoles on Friday night and came out with a huge win with a score of 11-2. Dan Warnecke, Leo Cuzin, Lee Edelman, Connor Singer and Phil Jacquot were the goal scorers for the Rebels in the first period. Brendan Sullivan, Cody Fullinwider and Dan Warnecke both recorded two goals each Friday night.

On Saturday evening, Ole Miss played their final game in the Columbus Clash against Georgia Tech. The Rebels came out strong and took a 5-0 lead at the end of the first. The Yellow Jackets came out hard in the second period, scoring five goals to tie the game. Freshman, Dan Warnecke scored late in the second period to give the Rebels a one goal lead heading into the third period. There was a lot of back and forth action in the third period, with each team exchanging goals. With just under two minutes remaining, Lee Edelman tied the game at seven with a power play goal. With just under a minute left, Lane Aldredge scored the game winner for the Rebels and secured a 8-7 victory. The Rebels will be off this weekend and will face The University of Alabama and The University of Arkansas on Nov. 30 and Dec. 1. The Rebels wish all of their fans a safe and happy Thanksgiving.

Nov 30th/Dec 1st (Tupelo, MS) The Ole Miss Rebels finished off the first half of the season beating #6 ranked Arkansas 4-1 and #10 ranked Alabama 4-1 at the Bancorp South Arena in Tupelo, MS. The boys will finish up their semester classes, head home for the Holiday season and come back ready to take on Mississippi State January 18th/19th.
